Our quest is to create a space, online and through an in-person reading room, where book lovers can discover hidden gems and beloved tales alike. At the Bookshop On The Way where every reader is a fellow adventure, we believe in escaping to worlds that await amongst the pages of a good book.
A note from our Creative Director
Creating The Bookshop and Jane's Reading Room, has been both fulfilling for my creative side and connected me with a world of wonder I wish I'd met sooner—but as many great adventures have told us, it's never too late to find yours.
My love of fantasy comes from the idea that this genre gives us opportunity to explore possibilities and journey into the unknown. It's escapism, but it's also giving us a chance to play without limitations, and in doing so, broadening our perspective.
Sick of my TikTok feed being dominated by the same viral overseas reads, I decided to open The Bookshop. With a very clear goal in mind, I immediately set to work on creating business plans, connecting with other creatives and growing the idea.
The Bookshop is special to me in a number of ways: it combines my enthusiasm for small business economics, driving creative industries and working directly with community. Through The Bookshop's mission and vision, I intend to stay true to these values and bring readers quality adventures they can enjoy time and time again.
