Shipping & Returns

When can I expect my order to arrive?

As a small business that values a slower pace of life, we ship orders twice a week — on Mondays and Fridays — so each parcel can be wrapped with care and a touch of quiet magic. Please allow up to two weeks from date of purchase for delivery. 

If you need your order soon, please select express postage at check out or contact us directly to discuss other options.

How much in postage?

Within Australia, postage is a flat $10 for parcels under 2kg. For orders over 2kg, we offer express postage or local pick-up. To help you pick your next adventure: smaller tales usually weigh around 350g, while epic tomes can be closer to 550g.

Do you ship internationally?

At this stage we cannot offer international shipping. However, as we evolve we hope to be able to provide this service as our stories are meant to travel far and wide! 

Can I return an item?

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Items can be returned if they are in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, please contact us directly.

How is my order packaged?

We take great care in packaging your order with both love and sustainability in mind. You can expect your books to arrive safely in eco-friendly materials ready for their next adventure. Because we reuse and recycle packaging, your order may come in a parcel that’s a little mismatched or jagged around the edges, but always clean, secure, and kinder to the earth

Do you sell independently published books?

We sure do! Independently published fantasy is at the heart of what we do. We carefully curate books from Australian and New Zealand indie authors, alongside a small selection of traditionally published titles we truly love.

Are your books new or pre-loved?

We offer a mix of both! Many of our books are carefully curated second-hand treasures that are ready for new adventures. Some are brand-new, handpicked straight from Australian authors, ready to find their forever home.

Do you purchase second-hand books?

Yes, we do. If you'd like to sell second-hand books for inclusion in our online shop and reading room collection, please complete this form to tell us a bit about the books you'd like to sell.

 

Gifting

Do you offer gift wrapping?

We’d love to help make your gifts extra special! We offer gift wrapping for a small fee—just add the option to your cart and we’ll make it magical.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, we offer gift cards, so you can share the joy of browsing and discovering magical books with friends and family. Please contact us directly to organise a gift card.

 

Special Requests

Can I reserve or request a specific book?

If a book you’re looking for is currently out of stock, reach out to us! We’ll happily notify you when it’s back on the shelves or reserve a copy for you.

If there’s a book you’re after that we don’t carry, send us a message! We may be able to track it down just for you.

Can I buy books in bulk for a book club or event?

At this stage we cannot offer bulk purchases of the same book as we run a small stock. As we evolve we hope to offer this service and would be thrilled to help you stock up for your future gathering!

Do you offer recommendations?

Of course! Our team of book lovers is always happy to guide you to your next great read. Just reach out and share your preferences, and we’ll find the perfect book for your next adventure.
